Testimonials

An engaging course with numerous points to consider in the classroom. This course has provided me with strategies to support individual pupils. It was thought provoking, inspiring and stressed the importance of reinforcing feelings, rights, responsibilities and Early Warning Signs. A fantastic course which has encouraged me to reinforce Protective Behaviours lessons and vocabulary. Thank you for a brilliant course. [Primary teacher]

Ann’s delivery is engaging; serious messages with a good dollop of humour [teacher]

The focus on creating the environment – it’s all the time and all of us. Fabulous, thought provoking and invigorating. I feel like we now have a good chance to get this right. Fantastic training, so key to continue moving our practice on and keeping us reflective.[Primary headteacher]

Highlight was the engagement of the staff with the event [School governor at Inset training]

From headteachers who have completed Protective Behaviours Inset Programme:

Potentially life changing!

It’s helpful and practical and will improve people’s lives

It’s probably the best thing we’ve ever done in this school

Empowering for all members of the school community

Engaging, informative and useful

Very powerful

I’d recommend the course to colleagues because of the skills it potentially develops for the children in our care and our school community

Thought provoking – it empowers children and that’s what we aim to do daily

The training was well presented, very interactive and relevant in a number of fields.  Although I work with adults, I have found that I apply what I learned constantly.  I found the learning easily transferable to my particular area – and easy to turn theory into practice.  It has been invaluable – and that is not something that I find myself saying very often about training!

I do use elements of the programme on a regular basis. When I am working with young people on feelings and emotions and how to control and handle anger. I particularly like the thermometer of feelings and the young people find it easy to understand and relate to. I was using it just this morning! [School nurse]

‘I have always found your training interesting and inspirational. Ann, your clarity, no-nonsense but nurturing stance on relationships and behaviours in school will have made such a difference to so many children, families and staff and cannot be overestimated’ [primary headteacher]

Ann’s delivery is always 100% interesting and informative. Highly engaging, useful anecdotes relating to real life, funny and amusing [Teacher & DSL]
